Statement Concerning Freelance Traveller
In regards to Jeff Zeitlin's recent post concerning Freelance Traveller, this is our official stance on this.
Folks are asking me about this so I will confirm that I have asked Freelance Traveller to stop covering my products. This is purely because I want no association with Traveller now that it is owned by Mongoose.
Jeff, the publisher of FT, has done nothing wrong and this should not be seen as a reflection on him.
Honestly, this whole thing is extremely old news. I've made my opinion of Mongoose abundantly clear. Indeed, most folks who know me really wish I'd shut up about it.
I have no idea why anyone would react in shock to this or why anyone would consider this to be a new development. I stopped my association with Traveller the day after it was announced that it was a Mongoose product now. Previous to that, I've eschewed any connection to Mongoose Publishing since 2016 when the Cepheus Engine was created in response to their actions at that time.
Nothing has changed except that we are no longer posting or attending Traveller-related forums, groups, or conventions and no longer wish to appear in Traveller-related magazines.
We're doing better than ever. Last year was the best year we've ever had and this month we are celebrating our 14th year in business (despite Mongoose's best efforts) with a 35% off sale.
